How does a session proceed?
To begin with, the focus is on getting to know one another and understanding your goals.
The topics we discuss will depend on your proficiency level and your interests. If you are a beginner, we will start by talking about everyday matters. If you are already more advanced, we will discuss a wider range of topics—always guided by your personal interests.
If you are preparing for an exam, we will focus on the key topics relevant to that specific test.
My role is to correct you and help you refine your expression. For every conversation, I create a summary of the session that you can keep and use as a study aid.
Can I participate in the lessons even if I'm a complete beginner with no prior knowledge?
Yes, in principle, that's possible. But it's best if you've already learned some basics before coming to me. Then we can start with a simple conversation and then learn new things step by step.
Do we prepare the lesson in advance or do we talk spontaneously?
That depends on you. If you'd like to choose a topic and prepare before the lesson, that's no problem. Either you bring your own topic, or I can send you my idea and possibly some materials.
Do you teach German grammar?
The focus of my lessons is on conversation, which is why I don't usually teach grammar. But of course, I'll correct your grammar mistakes, give you tips, and answer your questions as best I can.
Can we proofread texts or written exercises together?
Yes, we can gladly proofread your texts together.
How can I book a lesson?

How does payment work?
When you select a lesson duration, you will be redirected to my booking page. There, you can choose your appointment time and subsequently your payment method. If you wish to pay via PayPal, please book your appointment here.
Are the booking times adjusted to my time zone?
Yes, the booking times are automatically adjusted to your time zone.
Do you offer lessons outside your usual availability?
No, unfortunately, I don't offer any other times.
Can I get a free trial lesson?
No, I don't offer free trial lessons.
How can I reschedule or cancel a booked lesson?
You can cancel or reschedule the appointment up until 11:59 PM on the previous calendar day and receive a full refund. You can do this via the confirmation email you received upon booking, or through the link in your personal calendar entry. If you wish to cancel or reschedule the appointment after this deadline has passed, it is best to contact me personally.
